We build energy that moves. VOLTRAIL builds one kind of product: photovoltaic systems that do not stay in one place. We do not mount panels on buildings and we do not build solar farms. The whole range, from the 3.2 kWp skid unit to the 120 kWp container, is designed to reach a site without a grid connection, produce there as long as needed and move on to the next project.
We chose this specialisation because mobile energy has its own engineering logic. A system that travels on public roads has weight and dimension constraints a fixed installation never faces. It has to survive vibration, repeated deployment and operators who change from one site to the next. A company that does roofs, farms and mobile treats mobile as an adaptation. For us it is the only product.
What being a manufacturer means
We design and assemble the units in Romania. The practical consequence is not patriotic, it is operational: we can modify a product for a specific project. If you need more battery and fewer panels, an extra three-phase output, a backup genset that starts at a given threshold or telemetry that feeds your monitoring system, it can be done. With imported equipment, these requests hit a fixed catalogue.
The second effect is service. Critical parts are in the country, and a service call does not depend on a delivery time from abroad. For equipment powering an active site, the difference between two days and three weeks of waiting is the difference between an issue and a work stoppage.

How we work

We start from the load, not from the catalogue
The first question is not which model you want, but what you are powering. Wrong sizing is the most expensive thing in an off-grid system: too little battery and you sit without power in the evening, too much and you pay for capacity that never discharges.

We calculate for the location, not for an average
Irradiation differs by almost 20% between the north and the south of the country. We estimate for the county and the critical month of the project, so you do not find out in November that the system was sized for July.

We also say what it cannot do
A mobile photovoltaic unit does not replace a genset in every scenario. If you have large direct-start loads, permanent night-time consumption or you only work in winter, we say so before the quote, not after delivery.
