How long does battery last if no sun for 5 days?
We size battery per application. For a typical camera 3-5 days is no problem. For longer bad weather we can add a small diesel backup.
How do I communicate with the unit? Is it secure?
The unit has telemetry with 4G connection, or Ethernet if available. It is encrypted, and you need credentials to access. SMS alerts for critical issues.
How easy is it to move the unit from one location to another?
On a relay, you change cables at antenna and done in under 15 minutes. The unit itself moves to the new location on a van, power and data cables connected in under 30 minutes.
What happens if wind gusts knock it over?
Units are heavy and stable, mounted on firm ground. Cables are secured with safety clamps, and even if a cable breaks, the unit is safe. We recommend inspection after major storms, but generally they are robust.
